Revise SOPs and draft new SOPs as needed. - Prepare and send any FOIA requests needed - Assist with merger and acquisition due diligence process documentation when needed. - Operate analysis for compliant ingredient and intellectual property requirements, research projects relating to domestic and international regulatory matters, advise management to its legal rights, and practice other phases of business law -  Represent Kemin in unemployment, or other administrative, hearings. Draft and file all responses and motions. Prep Kemin witnesses prior to hearings. Gather all documentation requested in discovery and needed for exhibits. - Assist outside counsel with documentation, witness preparation, and legal theories in pending lawsuits - Advise and prepare product registration notices, filings, and maintenance. - Global regulatory dossier creation and support for human and animal ingredient approvals and registrations. - Conduct legal review of scientific communications and other publications. - Develop and conduct periodic presentations of dossiers, and/or conduct conversations with governmental agencies.. Other Functions - Quasi-ombudsman role to encourage resolution of complaints or disputes before escalating into more serious problems. - Provide guidance on clinical trial requirements. - Provide strategic regulatory advice as appropriate. - Will provide support for global regulatory process and project progression. - Work on a variety of other business legal requirements and settings including strategic plan creation, support and execution of strategic initiatives, and special projects as assigned What we require of you - Bachelor’s degree with an advanced degree (JD required with bar admission) and up to 5 years of relevant experience in a related field. - Degree in the life sciences or minor in life sciences is required (e.g. chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, environmental science, meteorology, microbiology, math) - License to practice law in Iowa or a willingness to become licensed - Strong ability to conduct research, learn new regulations and legal precepts, and to articulate ideas to help the business grow. - Ability to accurately assess facts and the law and provide a reasoned assessment of success or failure. - Proficiency with MS Office products (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Proficiency in working with database programs for tracking work - Strong negotiation, analytical and drafting skills required. - Excellent communication skills are needed. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - A customer service orientation and the ability to manage multiple issues and tasks and to assume substantial responsibility are required. - Previous experience in writing regulatory dossiers, contract drafting and freedom to operate requirements and research highly desired. - Willingness and ability to support other attorneys when needed, to work with a variety of personalities, and be a part of a team. The objective of this position is to bring new molecules and technology into Kemin to accelerate the growth of the company. The Strategic Technology Manager will be responsible for identifying molecules and technologies that could be commercialized by Kemin. The job involves searching the scientific literature, utilization of information from the Worldwide Technology Acquisitions (WWTA) group and the commercial landscape for new nascent products to be licensed or brought into Kemin through acquisition.

The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall management and marketing strategy for designated Monogastric Intestinal Health products, supporting the span of those products’ lifecycle.  This involves the creation of strategies and market plans which allow Kemin to grow the sales and profitability of the assigned Monogastric products under Intestinal Health (IH) platform, currently not limiting to Probiotics, Phytogenic Polyphenol, Essential Oils, Organic Acids, Immunomodulant products and Farm Health Water Series products (in farm application).­This would include implementing a product development process, reducing product cost, and ensuring worldwide product standards.    The PM manages, promotes, directs, plans, and coordinates activities for the assigned product lines, coordinating a synergy with the related Intestinal Health product team members to ensure the product line objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and parameters, gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements, and works cross functionally throughout the company to achieve financial and customer objectives. This position also includes a focus on the Intestinal Health platform, supporting the marketing and promotion of Kemin in the area of Monogastric Intestinal Health and the subset of Antibiotic Free (ABF) production.   The PM provides direction and vision for the products they are responsible for.  It is considered to be a “hands-on” product management and sales support position who plays a very active role during the implementation and execution of the strategies and market plans, working with Swine and Poultry Technical Services and the Research & Development team to test and provide product efficacy data; setting product strategy and pricing; training the Sales staff; developing and communicating target markets, customer positioning and product promotional plans; developing annual market plans and achieving overall sales and gross margin growth targets for the product category.    The function and focus of this PM is on Monogastric markets in the Intestinal Health segment and reports to the Product Manager leading the Intestinal Health platform.
