Overall Function: This is a critical technical sales role for growing the Kemin Food Technologies business
in Vietnam. The Sales Manager will be responsible for sales and business development of the Vietnam to
achieve sustainable double-digit sales growth with full P&L accountability. The incumbent is responsible for
executing winning tactics to bring Kemin Food Technologies business to the next level. He/She will act as
a technical sales consultant to Kemin’s customers and develop new business and new customers in QSR,
processed meats, sauces, bakery, confectionary, snacks, instant noodles, ready to eat, dairy, beverages
and related industries. The incumbent will be responsible for driving a multi contact model across all
strategic customers and develop top to top relationships with C-suite level executives. A highly impressive

  • To generate new business and exceed sales expectations for Kemin Food Technologies solutions in Vietnam whilst retaining all existing customers and business
  • Expand market share for entire Kemin Food Technologies product portfolio business in related segments such as QSR, processed meats, sauces, bakery, confectionary, snacks, instant noodles, ready to eat, dairy, beverages and related industries across assigned countries
  • Develop collaborative relationships with customers by adopting a multi contact model across all customers and obtain top to top meetings between C-suite executives with Kemin’s executive leadership team on a regular basis
  • Manage and motivate Kemin’s distributors to achieve scorecards and this includes providing commercial and technical training and techno-commercial support
  • Responsible for consistently achieving Kemin Food Technologies business scorecards and expectations including full profit & loss responsibilities
  • Frequent communication with internal stakeholders – sales, customer service, technical, customer laboratory services, quality assurance, regulatory, production and management team to develop new business and jointly resolve issues
  • Support the Sales Director to implement strategies and be fully accountable for executing winning tactics and action plans to achieve sales and maintain a healthy project pipeline for sustainable long-term double-digit growth


  • Proven track record of driving double digit growth in sales with a science educational background, preferably a post-graduate degree in food science or related sciences
  • You are an achieved technical salesperson with 7+ years working experience in B2B food ingredients with proven success managing direct key accounts and distributors across Vietnam
  • An in-depth understanding of not only the key decision makers but also the processing conditions and pain points of the top players in the processed meat, instant noodles, bakery & confectionary, snacks and related food and beverage industries across Vietnam
  • Strong business acumen with entrepreneurial mindset professional that can assimilate broad scientific knowledge to continuously drive double digit growth through acquiring new customers, selling new products at existing customers, creating new applications for existing products whilst retaining all existing business and customers
  • Have a growing network of contacts across customers in the food industry across Vietnam
  • Highly proactive in planning for meetings, seminars, roadshows, innovation workshops with customers and distributors using existing resources available within Kemin Industries
  • Experienced in SPIN selling and comfortable giving technical presentations in front of large audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a fast paced and multi-cultural team environment
  • An excellent problem solver that approaches problems as opportunities to continuously improve
  • A high degree of personal motivation with a desire to make an immediate contribution and always hungry for new business
  • Excellent communicator that can adapt personal communication style to fit target audiences and can position Kemin Food Technologies solutions on how it brings value to the customers
  • Seasoned negotiator who understands and respects different cultures to be able to communicate effectively to secure sales and retain customers
  • Be highly aware of macro changes in the industry, technology, regulations, future trends, competitor activities and changes at customers
  • Achieve internal monthly sales forecast accuracy; high accountability in respecting all deadlines for reports and can develop account plans
  • Advanced English spoken and written language skills is essential
