Overview

Join the Kemin team as a Field Service Engineer! At Kemin we provide custom equipment solutions and training through a dedicated Kemin Applications Solutions Team. In this role, you will provide support for selecting, calibrating and installing application equipment at pet food and rendering facilities. This person will develop, analyze, implement, monitor and maintain automated dosing processes to require specifications, focusing on safety, reliability and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Build and install various application equipment.
  • Integrate application technology into customer processing systems.
  • Responsible for all aspects of equipment installation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing application systems at customer locations.
  • Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
  • Ability to assemble and install application equipment at customer sites across North America, including but not limited to Feed Mills
  • Attend local exhibitions, seminars, training and workshops.
  • Assistance in development of new applications systems
  • Provide day to day support to customers, sales team and KAS engineers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in areas of hydromechanics, electromechanical engineering; measurement and control technology; processing engineering or other related fields
  • 0+ years’ experience in an industrial environment
  • Capability to learn and understand electrical and communication systems
  • Familiarity or understanding of PLC’s and automation systems
  • Ability to work independently or in a structured team
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skill
  • Familiar with PLC and plant automation systems (Wem, RePete)
  • Self-starter, with an outgoing personality, highly organized and able to work independent or in a team
  • Experience in Feed Mill process technology is an asset
  • Experience in liquid dosing systems
  • Quality minded
  • Travel >60% in North American Region
