Kemin is seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst with a curiosity and passion for data.  The ideal candidate will be successful in transforming data into meaningful, consumable information for project stakeholders.  A storyteller of sorts, this role will be responsible for communicating data through summaries, infographics and other tools.

This position can be located at our Worldwide Headquarters in Des Moines, IA or remote.

  • Serve as the primary assigned technical expert on at least one BI platform system by working to resolveassigned issues within that systemand coordinating with teams on system solutionso
  • Serve as primary or backup technical expert ontwo to three other BI platform systems, working with the global support team to resolve assigned problems and issues within those systemso
  • Act as first-line support, tracking requests and issues through the IT help desk ticketing system and reassigning to other BI platform team members as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve of basic BI platform problems
  • Develop and maintain training programs and documentation for both IT and end users
  • Act as a technical resource for IT projects in their BI platform system of expertise
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance and support our business applications
  • Ensure system security, Kemin IT policies,and application best practices are followed and in place
  • Perform periodic audits of BI platform systems to ensure compliance to policies and standards
  • Assess performance issues of current systems or products and ability to provide solutions to the issues


  • Bachelor Degree in Data Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years' experience working on a related BI platform system
  • Demonstrated technical skills in PowerBI, Power Query and SQL
  • Candidate must be a customer oriented, team player, have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Research, understand, participate and contribute to the goals and mission of the IT Department and the company as a whole
  • Perform all responsibilities of this position while continually presenting a positive and professional example for the rest of the team and the company
  • Ability to train users at different skill levels
  • Experience with help desk ticketing software\
  • Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation
  • Possess effective prioritizing and project management skills
