The Ruminant Sales Manager South Korea is responsible for developing and implementing a successful sales strategy for the ruminant sector of South Korea. The appointee is responsible for ensuring net sales revenue and gross margin budgets are achieved or exceeded through effective sales efforts.


  • Achieve the net sales and gross margin budgets for the ruminant business in South Korea.
  • Working with the Division Director Ruminant (DDR) and Technical Service Manager (TSM) Ruminant for Asia-Pacific, grow from a very low existing base, sales revenue for ruminant products through distributors, and with dairy, beef and ruminant feed mill accounts in South Korea.
  • With the DDR, develop, implement and execute the market and sales activity strategy for ruminant products in South Korea.
  • Manage and coordinate pricing under direction of the DDR and for common products, also in collaboration with the Country President, South Korea.
  • Provide technical and product knowledge support to prospects, customers, distributor(s) partner(s), and consultants.
  • Enter pre-call plans, post-call reports for prospects and customers in Kemin’s Nexa database in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Collect, compile, interpret and share market intelligence from the South Korea ruminant market relating to key customers, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Generate sales projects to grow the ruminant business in South Korea.
  • Deliver technical presentations to customers and at local industry conferences, seminars and meetings. Represent Kemin’s ruminant business interests at industry trade fairs, shows and events.
  • Assist the TSM to set-up and execute commercial farm and research university evaluations designed to demonstrate ruminant product efficacy.
  • Develop, grow and strengthen Kemin’s relationship with the key ruminant industry decision makers and influencers in South Korea.


  • A Bachelor degree in animal science, animal nutrition, agricultural science or similar field of study. Formal qualifications in ruminant nutrition would be well regarded but is not essential.
  • A minimum of three years technical sales experience in the ruminant sector in preferred but as a minimum, the incumbent will have the same length of experience selling to the livestock sector in South Korea.
  • A verifiable record of growing sales and meeting or exceeding budgets.
  • Outstanding presentation, selling and negotiating skills.
  • Capability and experience in creating, communicating and tailoring value-added sales propositions to key accounts using sound technical and commercial principles.
  • Results-oriented with success in previous sales roles.
  • Clear, persistent, patient and proactive communication skills.
  • Self-motivated: able to work in an unsupervised capacity whilst maintaining and executing the strategic business and customer focus.
  • Ability to establish and foster excellent relationships with the management and sales teams of distributors and channel partners.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
