Overview

Kemin Animanl Nutrition & Health EMENA is seeking an experienced Commercial Director Europe to lead our commercial strategy, sales performance, business development, and customer growth agenda across Europe, North Africa, and Israel. This senior commercial leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, customer retention, strategic account development, and commercial excellence across multiple countries.
 
As a key member of the European Leadership Team, you will shape and execute the regional commercial strategy, lead high-performing commercial teams, and partner closely with Marketing, Technical Services, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Product Management. You will play a critical role in strengthening Kemin’s market position, accelerating profitable growth, and building the commercial capabilities needed for long-term business success.
 
This role is ideal for a proven commercial leader with strong experience in sales leadership, P&L ownership, key account management, revenue growth, pricing strategy, go-to-market execution, and multi-country team leadership. Experience in Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal Health, Feed Additives, Ingredients, Life Sciences, or related B2B industries is highly valued.

 

 

Responsibilities

The Commercial Director Europe will lead the commercial organization across the region and will be accountable for delivering profitable growth, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and improving commercial execution. You will translate company objectives into clear regional growth plans and ensure strong alignment between commercial priorities, customer needs, and business performance.
 
You will lead all commercial activities across Europe, North Africa, and Israel, including commercial strategy, sales execution, business development, strategic account planning, pricing, margin management, forecasting, pipeline management, commercial governance, and talent development. In this role, you will influence business direction, develop future commercial leaders, and ensure that teams are focused on the right markets, customers, and growth opportunities
 
What you will do
  • Develop and execute the European commercial strategy, translating business objectives into clear regional growth plans.
  • Lead sales performance, business development, revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across Europe, North Africa, and Israel.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer growth potential, expansion initiatives, and strategic priorities that strengthen Kemin’s competitive position.
  • Drive market penetration, customer acquisition, customer retention, and share-of-wallet growth across priority markets and customer segments.
  • Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Own regional commercial revenue, gross margin, profitability, and P&L performance.
  • Lead pricing strategy, margin management, value-based selling, and commercial investment decisions to maximize profitable growth.
  • Ensure disciplined sales execution through robust forecasting, opportunity management, CRM adoption, pipeline management, and account planning.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, performance tracking, commercial governance, and recovery plans when results deviate from targets.
  • Champion commercial excellence by standardizing best practices, improving sales processes, and strengthening execution discipline across countries and teams.
  • Use data, analytics, market insights, customer feedback, and digital tools to improve decision-making, productivity, and commercial effectiveness.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial organization with a strong culture of accountability, ownership, and results.
  • Lead talent development, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development across the commercial function.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Technical Services, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Product Management to deliver customer-focused solutions and business results.
  • Lead cross-functional change initiatives that improve customer success, commercial performance, organizational effectiveness, and long-term growth.
  • Serve as a key member of the European Leadership Team, helping shape business strategy and supporting Kemin’s long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications

We are looking for a commercially strong, strategic, and hands-on leader with a proven track record in commercial leadership, sales management, business development, P&L ownership, strategic account management, and profitable growth. The ideal candidate has experience leading sales and commercial teams across multiple countries and is comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed, international business environment.

You combine strategic thinking with strong execution. You know how to translate market opportunities into growth plans, how to build strong customer partnerships, and how to lead teams toward measurable commercial results. You bring a strong sense of urgency, sound business judgment, and the ability to focus on the priorities that matter most.
You are an inspiring people leader who can coach, develop, and empower commercial teams. You build trust with stakeholders, influence across functions, and create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
 
Your Profile 
  • Scientific or master’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in a B2B environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven multi-country leadership experience, ideally across European markets.
  • Strong P&L ownership and proven responsibility for revenue, margin, and profitability performance.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, commercial strategy, business development, and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong track record of delivering profitable growth, market expansion, and customer retention.
  • Experience managing strategic customers, key accounts, and executive-level customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margin management, value-based selling, forecasting, CRM, and pipeline management.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing regional commercial leaders and high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect market trends, customer needs, performance data, and business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, international, and matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading sales, marketing, and technical teams is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience in Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal Health, Feed Additives, Ingredients, Life Sciences, or related B2B industries is highly valued.
