Overview

Kemin is seeking a full-time Training and Development Specialist for our Missouri Campus.

Our Missouri Campus consists of operations in both Verona and Sarcoxie and was awarded 2025 "Leader of the Pack" for safety by Missouri Association of Manufacturers!

The primary location for this position is at our legacy manufacturing facility in Verona, MO.

 

The Training and Talent Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs for the Missouri Campus. This role partners with business leaders, managers, and subject matter experts to identify training needs, develop practical learning solutions, and strengthen employee capabilities. This individual also maintains training records, evaluates program effectiveness, and helps ensure learning initiatives align with business goals, compliance requirements, and Kemin’s overall talent development strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with departments, managers, and key stakeholders to assess training needs, identify opportunities for new or enhanced learning programs, and align initiatives with Kemin’s training vision.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative training topics, delivery methods, techniques, and tools that support employee development and enhance organizational capability.
  • Design, develop, and maintain training programs, learning modules, and instructional content that address business needs and support employee performance.
  • Create and implement skills-based training programs to close identified knowledge or capability gaps.
  • Manage the transition from solution design to content development, ensuring learning materials are accurate, practical, and aligned with program objectives.
  • Develop complex manuals, workbooks, job aids, and audio/video collateral to support training delivery and reinforce learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, communication, and materials for onsite, offsite, and virtual training programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions, organization development programs, and professional presentations for employee groups and stakeholders.
  • Establish, maintain, and audit employee training records in applicable recordkeeping systems to support corporate, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Collect participant feedback, evaluate training procedures, monitor course effectiveness, and update learning content and programs to support continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external content vendors, such as Skillsoft, to support learning resources and program needs.
  • Support the administration and tracking of career development programs, including monitoring employee progress and maintaining related program information.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of succession planning tools, templates, and frameworks that support leadership continuity and workforce planning.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with 7+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work both the Verona and Sarcoxie sites as needed.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to create and refine content for learning and development programs.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence change.
  • Experience in training and program facilitation.
