Responsibilities

  • Strategize and direct registration approaches, to ensure execution of regulatory filing to facilitate timely product approvals (including renewals) to meet registration compliance in the APAC markets.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Oversee multiple and concurrent regulatory projects and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, policies, and laws in APAC countries, sharing the information within the organization and providing insightful guidance to the management team on potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and agencies in the APAC region, serving as the primary liaison for all regulatory-related communications and negotiations.
  • Ensure the company’s adherence to regulatory standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions, ensuring a streamlined regulatory compliance process.
  • Review materials such as marketing documents, technical collaterals to ensure accuracy, as well as compliance with Kemin policies and regulatory requirements in the APAC countries.
  • Ensure company’s Intellectual properties are protected.
  • Offer expert regulatory guidance and support to cross-functional teams including scientists, production-operations, marketing and sales team.
  • Offer advice about company’s policies and practices eg. regulatory landscape, product registration processes and requirements and intellectual property matters.
  • Address customers’ inquiries and resolve issues related to regulations and compliance matters.
  • Gatekeep company data management system, including ERP, Product Label System, and Dossier Database System.
  • Lead and mentor a dynamic team of seven staff members in IPRA, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Degree in the Sciences (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Pharmacy); a Master's degree with relevant working experience will be considered as well.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs management in the APAC region, preferably in the feed/food additive industry/specialty chemical, with demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and allocate appropriate resources in order to achieve stipulated KPIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes in APAC markets.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and decipher complex scientific data and regulatory documents and requirements.
  • Must have high level of integrity to handle confidential business information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc.), with aptitude to learn new software and digital systems.
  • Experience in managing legal contracts is preferred.
  • Demonstrates growth mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
