Accounts Payable Specialist

Kemin is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Des Moines, Iowa! This position will manage business units accounts payables in a timely and accurate manner, maintain documentation for compliance to policies and procedures, inventory, and other expense reporting.  The ideal candidate will have a high level of accountability for their work, be able to work with minimum supervision, and have a good attendance record.

• Accurately scan, code, and key invoices.
• Able to manage time to ensure transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
• Follow and document processes and procedures.
• Work across departments and business units to resolve issues with transactions.
• Provide accurate data consistently.
• Reconcile accounts. 

• Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of applicable experience as an Accounting professional.
• Able to read, write, and handle basic math problems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel.
• Able to learn new computer applications.
• Detail oriented.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Able to see and read numbers.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
