Logistics Specialist

Kemin Animal Health and Nutrition EMENA is seeking a Logistics Specialist with Dutch.

location: Herentals (Belgium)

1day HO/week

In this versatile logistics role, you help ensure the smooth flow of goods across borders. You are involved in daily operational follow-up, export order handling, and the preparation of transport and export documentation.

You will work closely with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams and gradually build expertise in export logistics.

This role is ideal for a junior profile who is eager to learn export processes, enjoys administration with impact, and wants to grow in logistics.

Motivation, curiosity, and interest in export documentation are more important than years of experience.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of operational coordination, customer interaction, and continuous process improvement.

Order & Export Administration

• Enter and follow up export orders for raw materials.
• Check order details such as product specifications, pricing, Incoterms, and financial conditions.
• Prepare and secure export documentation (Customs, Chamber of Commerce, FAVV, transport documents, etc.).
• Maintain and update logistics master data (customers, products, contracts).

Transport & Warehouse Coordination

• Plan and book transport in line with existing contracts.
• Provide clear instructions to transport partners and warehouse teams.
• Track shipments and ensure timely pickup and delivery.

Collaboration & Support

• Act as a key contact for logistics topics for Purchasing (imports) and Planning (exports/intercompany).
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders across departments.
• Support logistics-related improvement projects in transport and warehousing.
• Act as backup for colleagues within logistics when needed.

What will make you successful?

• Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business, logistics or Supply chain Management, or equivalent through first work experience.
  • Ideally 1–3 years of experience in a customer service or logistics, export role.
  • Motivation to learn export flows, documentation, and international logistics.

   

  Skills & Mindset

  • Strong interest in export orders, transport coordination, and documentation.
  • Well-organized, accurate, and able to manage daily follow-up.
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and grow.
  • Customer-oriented and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

   

  Technical & Language Skills

  • Confident working with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
