Overview

Kemin Nutrisurance Europe is seeking an IT Data Engineer for a full-time position for Veronella (VR) head office. This professional plays a critical executional role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers enterprise analytics and decision-making. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and integration workflows across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring the reliable and efficient movement of data throughout the organization. Working closely with data architects, analysts, and IT stakeholders, the Data Engineer translates business requirements into scalable technical solutions that support advanced reporting, machine learning, and operational intelligence. The role demands hands-on expertise in data engineering tools and platforms, a strong commitment to performance and quality, and the ability to deliver robust solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and ML model consumption.
  • Ensure seamless data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across cloud and on-premises platforms, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Apply engineering best practices to automate workflows, monitor data health, and proactively address system bottlenecks or failures.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse internal and external sources into unified repositories, ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Optimize data workflows for speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging modern tools and cloud-native capabilities.
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to align engineering solutions with business requirements and analytical objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand evolving data needs and deliver scalable solutions that meet operational and strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of data engineering standards, documentation, and reusable components.
  • Engage in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning to foster a high-performance engineering culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as Data Engineer.
  • Advanced Proficiency in SQL, Python and Spark for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.
  • Proven ability to design and implement solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Dataflows, Power BI)
  • Expertise with Azure Databricks for scalable data engineering, machine learning, and advanced analytics workloads.
  • Advanced proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, including data quality management, metadata standards, and master data management.
  • Microsoft Fabric and Databricks certifications strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, projects, resources and ability to identify priorities.

Permanent contract
Full-time, Monday to Friday
CCNL Food Industry, Salary package commensurate with seniority
