Overview
Location: Gummidipoondi
Position Objective:
- Formulation and execution of a comprehensive quality control program in alignment with the global quality standards set out by Kemin World Wide.
- Ensure that our products meet the quality specifications when delivered to the customer, coaching and mentoring of junior staff
- Work Environment: Quality Control laboratories at GMD and factory as whole.
- Required to work in early morning and evening shifts ocassionally.
Responsibilities
- Develop a quality testing plan for all raw materials, finished products and packing materials
- Collecting random samples and monitoring compliance of good manufacturing practices.
- Review and update the quality plan based on changing requirement on a frequency basis.
- Ensure that the testing of RM, FP and PM are carried out as per the approved quality plan.
- Ensure that all the analytical procedures are validated and SOPs are available for all methods.
- Ensure that there is a clear plan for calibration and maintenance of all analytical instruments.
- Periodically validate testing proficiency of the method and persons.
- Maintain the shelf life samples, analyze and confirm product quality.
- Conduct periodic audit to laboratory and ensure its compliance with standards.
- Ensure that all laboratory works are done under the health and safety guidelines
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager for smooth operation of the Quality Control function.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in strategic planning for the QA/QC function
- Maintain updated records for internal and external audits
Qualifications
- Master of Science/Technology in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology / Biotechnology/ Engineering with minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in QC systems.
