Responsibilities

As an Inside Sales – Technical Support Specialist Intern, you will:

  • Prospect and develop new customers who are not currently allocated to existing area managers.
  • Follow up and nurture new sales leads generated through marketing campaigns, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to customer.
  • Provide technical support for prospects, addressing common, low-complexity technical issues or questions required for the initial evaluation of Kemin products.
  • Search internal databases for technical product documentation to support customer inquiries.
  • Create concise product presentations and deliver tailored marketing collateral to prospects and customers.
  • Maintain and extensively use the internal CRM/database to manage all assigned customer interactions, ensuring accurate records and effective follow-up.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned prospects, delivering timely and professional responses.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to address customer needs and support sales initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Life Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or Food Science.
  • Eligibility for an IEFP internship.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to search for technical documentation, learn quickly, and present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, and a team player spirit.
  • Multilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience in project management or customer relationship management is an advantage.
  • Desire to make an immediate contribution and a distinct sense of urgency.
