The Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) holds a critical role, being responsible for nurture, develop, expanding
and grow the business within our global accounts. The GKAM needs to act as a matrix integrator,
connecting all Business Units, functions and regions serving and adding value to the global key accounts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop business opportunities within the designated customers and take measures to increase market
    penetration.
  • Create a detailed Global Account Plan and implement a tracking system to chart progress for each of
    Business Units.
  • In accordance with the regional framework, follow the decisions related to pricing, product mix and service
    agreements.
  • Develop and expand high level management multi-contacts to expand the existing business relationship.
    Coordinate with Global and Regional Marketing, R&D and TSMs to provide strategic support to the
    customers.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement, through a global
    coordination with the respective sales team and the GSP´s.
  • Develop a negotiation plan, guide the drafting supply agreements/contracts with legal support,
    implement confidentiality/joint development agreements.
  • Ensure consistent communication and collaboration between regional account managers.
  • Drive co-development projects with strategic accounts and leverage R&D to create tailored solutions.
  • Define the differentiated value offered to global customers by innovation access, consistent service,
    integrated global support and/or co-creation.
  • Delivering strategic KPIs for the global accounts by driving sales growth, strengthening
    partnerships, increasing share of wallet, boosting customer satisfaction and building a strong
    pipeline.
  • Use data-driven models to identify global opportunities at the key customers and cross-business unit
    potential.
  • Identifying customer needs, creating business opportunities and customer solutions that promote the customer and Kemin businesses.
  • Develop playbooks for local teams to execute global strategies and ensure feedback loops between
    local execution and global planning.
  • Travels up to 75%.

In Kemin’s culture, this position may be required to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Animal Science or Master’s in veterinary science is required.
  • Strong Technical Commercial background.
  • Minimum 10 years in senior sales, account management, or business development roles.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages preferred.
  • Experience with functional ingredients and a science background.
  • Needs to be able to think strategically and provide global customer insights to support the global management team’s strategic decisions.
  • Candidates should be based in Curitiba/PR or São Paulo/SP.
