Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and perform LIMS Change Control process, to include updates to products, specifications, sampling plans, methods and other areas in LabVantage. Working with QC, QA, Ops, R&D, as needed, to complete necessary changes, verification of changes and transfer of changes to Live LabVantage system.
  • Troubleshoot LIMS configurations related to COA and other errors and make necessary corrections. Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures.
  • Work with QC, QA, IT to setup and implement new functionalities in LabVantage which may include system validations and audits.
  • Record and query data. Perform intermediate data analysis. Work with Ops, BUs, IT to develop and use tools such as Power BI for data reporting and analysis.
  • Training for new LabVantage Users. Create and maintain LIMS related SOPs.
  • Assist with lab software installations and troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Perform various types of raw material and finished goods testing.
  • Must follow and aid in the creation of all procedures and SOPs/forms.
  • Must maintain proper quality documentation.
  • Participate in internal audits, as applicable.
  • Report any nonconformities by following applicable SOPs.
  • Generate nonconformities report and communicate to stakeholders, as applicable.
  • Assist with method validation process, method transfer, and method setups in LIMS.
  • Must follow good lab procedures, safety, etc.
  • Must work closely with cross functional teams (including Operations, R&D, and other quality groups.)
  • Follows and maintains an environment of food and/or feed safety in compliance with rules and regulations, as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Associates Degree with 5+ years of related experience OR
    • Bachelors Degree with 3+ years of related experience OR
    • Masters Degree with 2+ years of related experience 
    • A degree in a Science related field, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge on lab software including LIMS.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to use computer systems, including MS Office, M3 and LIMs, etc.

  • Must have attention to detail.

  • Must have project management skills.

  • Familiarity with SPC principles and practices.

  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on lab equipment.

  • Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
