Overview

Kemin Application Solutions team is seeking an Application Engineer! This team is responsible for product application systems and services that Kemin offers to it's customers.  The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD, Solid Works, pipefitting, plumbing, electrical, construction engineering, and a desire to work hands on with equipment.  The Application Engineer will develop, analyze, implement, monitor, and maintain automated dosing processes to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, and quality. 

 

As an Application Engineer, you will travel up to 60% of the time.  Travel is Monday-Friday with a chance for some weekends.  Seasonal variances may include more travel during certain time throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Build and install various application equipment.
  • Integrate application technology into customer processing systems.
  • Responsible for all aspects of equipment installation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing application systems at customer locations.
  • Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required.
  • Ability to assemble and install application equipment at customer sites across North America.
  • Attend local exhibitions, seminars, training and workshops.
  • Assistance in development of new applications systems.
  • Provide day to day support to customers, sales team and KAS engineers.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, or a related field, with 0-3 years of experience. 
  • Feed Mill experience preferred
  • Experience with CAD, Solid works, pipe-fitting, plumbing, electrical or construction engineering highly preferred.
  • Capability to learn and understand electrical and communication systems.
  • Familiarity or understanding of PLC’s and automation systems.
  • Ability to work independently or in a structured team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Quality minded. 
  • Travel 60%, primarily domestic but could include international
