Overview

Kemin Animal Nutrion and Health EMENA is searching for an Environmental Coordinator. The Environmental Coordinator,will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices across our organization. You will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental policies and procedures in accordance with Belgian and EU regulations. This role requires collaboration across departments to reduce environmental impact and ensure a safe and compliant workplace

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures aligned with legal and corporate standards.
  • Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate internal training sessions on environmental awareness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for environmental reporting and audits.
  • Support incident investigations and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.
  • Promote initiatives related to waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to integrate environmental and occupational health practices.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the SH&E management system.
  • Monitor changes in environmental legislation and advise management accordingly.
  • Prepare steps for possible transition to Seveso company status.
  • Update environmental permits in collaboration with consultants.
  • Serve as back-up for Safety functions

Qualifications

  • Holder of a recognized Environmental Coordinator Certificate Level B (as per Flemish regulations).
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian and EU environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in environmental management systems.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Accuracy and punctual work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and environmental reporting tools.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
