Overview

Kemin Nutrisurance is hiring a Technical Service Manager for Palatants to provide strategic support for product sales. This role spans several key responsibilities, including conducting efficacy trials for new or soon-to-launch products developed by R&D, and reinforcing sales efforts for existing offerings. The successful candidate will also travel alongside Sales and Business Development teams to deliver technical presentations that highlight product features and benefits. 

 

This position is a remote role and can be located anywhere within the continental United States. 


Travel requirements may vary throughout the year, primarily in North America, up to 75%. The ideal candidate will be located near an airport.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the potential customer by monitoring test progress and summarizing data to prove product effectiveness.
  • Participate in the product launch process and support successful product launches.
  • Assist Marketing department in the preparation of sales support literature by providing all technical input in to the market communication aspects.
  • Develop experimental protocols to demonstrate effectiveness of all products in potential customers operations.
  • Broad decision making authority regarding the technical support necessary to achieve budget and strategic goals.
  • Ensure all business practices in his/her area of responsibility are completed within applicable law and according to Kemin Industries Code of Ethics. 
  • Involved in Policy and Procedure development and when evaluating new policies to work with other affected Technical Service employees and other department managers to ensure consistent practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors degree with 8+ years of relative work experience OR
    • Master's degree with 5+ years of relative work experience OR
    • PhD in a related field of study
  • Experience in the pet food industry is preferred, but not required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective communication including to support the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Ability to communicate the need to balance quality issues with production schedule needs to operations personnel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and effective managerial capability of several projects.
  • Travel 75%.
