Overview

Kemin is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Associate Sales Manager with a passion for organic and bio-based pesticides, specializing in the specialty crops sector.  This individual must be excited by the prospect of driving growth in sustainable solutions for specialty crop producers. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, a robust network of established contacts, and a deep understanding of the organic and conventional crop landscape.

 

Extensive travel (80-90%), mostly by car with some air travel, will be required. 

Candidates must reside within the territory in Central California.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a pipeline of customers in the specialty crop sector, focusing on organic and bio-pesticide solutions.
  • Leverage existing industry contacts and relationships to expand our market presence and forge new business opportunities.
  • Engage in consultative selling by understanding client needs and recommending tailored solutions aligned with sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership to achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently delivering measurable results.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the organic and bio-pesticide spaces.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, including territory planning, lead generation, and account management.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and maintain accurate CRM records to ensure transparency and data-driven decision making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows, enhancing our visibility and reputation.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or closely related field with 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the organic, bio-pesticide, or specialty crop industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specialty crop production, organic inputs, and bio-pesticide products and practices.
  • Established network of industry contacts; ability to leverage relationships for business development.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong sense of accountability, reliability, and responsiveness; consistently follows through and delivers results.
  • High level of personal integrity and professional ethics.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to present clearly and persuasively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
