Overview

Our Human Resources team is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator! This vital position provides support and coordination to our team and is involved in many aspects of employee experience. This role partners with the Talent Acquisition team to hire and onboard Kemin’s newest team members. Additionally, this role facilitates general Human Resources assistance including file management, employee recognition, and other administrative support.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, the ability to problem solve, extreme attention to detail, and the drive to be successful in a fast-moving environment. In addition, they will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint), and possess a servant leader mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support Kemin's recruitment process, including recruiting hourly and temporary candidates.
  • Conduct new employee background checks, schedule pre-employment/post-offer physicals, drug screens, and background checks.
  • Conduct New Hire orientation, manage onboarding documentation and training.
  • Review and process vendor invoices.
  • Create and maintain digital personnel files and enter/update employee and applicant data in the HRIS system.
  • Complete various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Represent Kemin in unemployment hearings.
  • Verify and maintain work authorization documentation (Form I-9) and manage reverifications.
  • Coordinate the longevity and birthday programs.
  • Maintain Human Resources supply closet.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience in a Human Resources support role; or High school diploma and 7+ years of experience.
  • Administrative support experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to cooperate and interact with all entities of Kemin.
  • Highly effective written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
  • High degree of personal motivation, desire to make an immediate contribution, and sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated integrity and honesty.
