Overview

KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is searching Jr Lab Technician to join our R&D Team in Herentals, Belgium.

 

This role will support microbiological testing, application research, and product development. It combines hands-on lab work, data analysis, and technical communication to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Testing: Perform standard and non-standard lab methods, especially in microbiology; ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs and GLP.
  • Data & Reporting: Analyze and interpret complex data sets; prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
  • Method Development: Develop, validate, and improve lab protocols and procedures; train others on best practices.
  • Product & Application Support: Assist in new product development and application research; prepare samples and support field trials.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate technical insights and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Marketing: Contribute to new product ideas and create technical collateral for marketing and customer education.

Qualifications

Education & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • Strong aseptic techniques and hands-on microbiology lab experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, graphs, data analysis).

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with well-developed project management skills.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred/Additional Experience

  • Previous experience in microbiology or cell labs.
  • Interest in method development and technical ownership of systems/processes.
  • Experience coordinating specialized field trials is a plus.
