Responsibilities

  • Develop new product formulations and processes for application in the feed additive business to enhance animal nutrition and health as per the Product Innovation Process of Kemin
  • Conduct literature review related to product development and patent application
  • Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data and present as internal/external scientific publications including peer reviewed journal papers
  • Evaluate and validate all methodologies for the laboratory against established protocols
  • Facilitate cross-functional operations to support product development and sales
  • Support laboratory operations and procurement functions
  • Perform tasks on an ad-hoc basis as assigned by the reporting officer

Qualifications

Academic Qualification:

  • Bachelors in Animal Science/Nutrition/Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry /Chemistry/Related Disciplines 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of previous relevant experience (commercial/academic) in research/product development labs

  • Proficient in in vitro biochemical assays
  • Experience with measurement of enzyme activities is preferred
  • Experience working in a GLP or ISO accredited laboratory
  • Knowledge and skills in analytical chemistry (e.g., HPLC, GC, LC-MSMS)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency and clarity in written and oral communications/presentations
  • Independent and creative scientific thinking
  • Solid documentation and organizational ability
