Overview

Kemin Food Technologies is seeking an experienced Sales Manager in Mexico! This role will be responsible for selling Kemin’s products and services by calling on prospective as well as established customers. This position must maintain sales programs within the assigned portfolio by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products. The Sales Manager is responsible for meeting budgeted sales and gross margin by obtaining and renewing orders.

 

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin for assigned accounts, in accordance with annual sales budgets.
  • Ensure that a sale is successfully completed with involvement at each stage of the sales process.
  • Identifying prospective customers.
  • Developing customer-based plans for new and existing customers.
  • Establishing relationships with individuals at all levels of the customers’ organization.
  • Making technical sales presentations on Kemin products/services.
  • Obtain on average of 20 meetings with customers each month.
  • Responsible to sell the complete Kemin product lines sold into the specific industry.
  • Develops and maintains customer database. Assures maintenance of sales reporting database.
  • Develop cooperative relationships with key customers and industry groups.
  • Responsible for utilizing CRM for sales reports and activities.
  • Work together with a Sales Manager as part of a team.
  • Report to Regional Sales Manager performed activities and align pricing and other market strategies on a weekly basis.
  • Identify the specific media channel for the market.
  • Promote workshops and seminars for the customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, biology or food science
  • 3 -5 years of experience in ingredients for food industry sales.
  • Experience working with food industry needed.
  • Demonstrated sales experience for food industry.
  • Successfully participation in an industrial/technical selling environment requiring lengthy and in-depth product and/or practice decision processes.
  • An in-depth understanding of the food industry, as well as ingredient suppliers to the food industry.
  • A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and a distinct sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • English language is desired.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% of working time
