Overview

Kemin is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Jalisco! This role will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading the campus project, including scope (activities / technologies from different business units), as well as the site layout and individual plant design through to completion. This is a role that requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders and execute the project within the time frame.

Responsibilities

  • Identification and alignment of all stakeholders through the various project stages.
  • Responsible for creating project plans and schedules to ensure tasks and prioritization of project dependencies.
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, budget, goals, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Oversaw total construction effort to ensure the project was constructed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule.
  • Study and define the place where to build the new plant, considering the availability of raw materials, selection of plant site, and managing with local authorities on establishing the land, production, environmental and related industrial processes, and permits necessary to set up and produce.
  • Directs and coordinates activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Responsible for tracking changes in project scope, identifying potential risks, and developing contingency plans.

  • Participate in negotiations involving Kemin, contractors and/or subcontractors, and other vendors.
  • Look for government sponsorships and negotiate with different government departments for permits, support, and alignment with Kemin.
  • Regulatory constraints regarding which activities must be separated on a mixed site to plan site layout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related work experience
  • Six Sigma or process optimization certification.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be motivated by accomplishment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with technical and non-technical collegues
  • Proven ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Very strong analytical skills; ability to proactively identify issues and address with solutions-oriented approach.
  • Must be able to work independently or on a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and related software.
