Overview

The Customer Service and Logistics Specialist for Southeast Asia will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations of order fulfillment, shipping, and customer service across the region. Reporting directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager for Asia, the Specialist will also assist in logistics and supply chain projects aimed at improving operational efficiency. This role involves coordinating with Kemin manufacturing sites, the sales team, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues, all while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, complaints, and managing returns or refunds.
  • Maintain customer master data and serve as the primary contact for customers regarding order status, shipping details, and delivery updates.
  • Process customer orders and sample orders accurately and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team on Stocks replenishment for local warehouses and raise Distribution Orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and collaborate with sales to manage aging stock and initiate salvage/write-off efforts.
  • Manage external relationships with 3rd Party Logistics partners and Kemin manufacturing sites to coordinate stock for domestic/international shipments to Customers or Regional warehouses and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot delays, and regularly review KPIs to improve logistics and 3rd Party Logistics performance.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, notify customers of past-due statuses, and handle Accounts Payables, if applicable.
  • Generate monthly performance reports (e.g., OTIF/DIFOT) and support audits while adhering to SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, and assist with logistics projects to optimize customer service and supply chain processes, managing SOP, reduce lead times, and minimize costs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, customer service, or supply chain management, preferably within Southeast Asia.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade.
  • Experience with ERP systems, order management, and inventory control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Words).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English
