The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician position is to support the production efforts of the plant through maintenance and repair of equipment to assure maximum available up time. Requires the ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and quickly correct problems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for welding, working with blueprints, and having machining proficiency. This position must be able to continually execute the Preventative Maintenance program. The ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and quickly correct problems is necessary and increases as identified below. It is crucial that the incumbent is skilled at levels identified in machine repair, welding, piping, machine rigging, and mechanical problem solving. This position is also responsible for the fabrication and installation of new processes that are being introduced into the production arena. This position works 10 hour shifts, 4 days per week.
